Update: February 1, 2023

February 1, 2023

Dear Families:

Two days left for Catholic Schools week and what a week it has been!

Tomorrow we take off our crazy hats and switch to “Pajama day”

No nightgowns or slippers, please. And a new pair of PJs brought in tomorrow will be added to our collection for Waypoint, which was formerly Children and Family Services. Our Kids and Adult Coats for Families in Transition is growing daily- they will be picked up Friday. The smell of freshly baked cookies was circulating across the first floor as Gr 2 baked cookies for Kids Cafe and the Salvation Army. What a great way to show our students how to give back to our Community.

As I am sure you have been hearing about- Friday and the weekend are predicted to have temperatures way below Zero with windchill factors that mirror 30 below and colder. We spoke to the McIntyre Ski people today and they offered to extend our contract to March 10 and allowed us to CANCEL THIS Friday with no penalty. So we would still have 4 lessons remaining; 2/10, 2/17, 2/24 and 3/10. (3/3 is school vacation).

I think this makes sense and is safer for our students.

We are busy with tours for potential new families for Fall, 2023. 4 students enrolled today! Thank you for spreading the word. Check out our website and the Catholic Schools week agenda.

Have a good evening!

Dr. Kirk
