Weekly Update: February 18, 2023

February 18, 2023

Dear Families:

It seems like winter has returned after such unusual spring-like weather. Our students love getting outside and yesterday was another wonderful day for ski club. I have to send a shout out to teachers Ashley Bardwell and Amy True who are doing an amazing job with this weekly ski program. I joined the group a few weeks ago and saw, first-hand, the organization and care they both exhibit in taking that many students off campus to ski. Not easy! So well done. And thank you to the many parents who volunteer weekly- we could not do it without you!

We celebrated Thursday on our 100th Day of School. Always a fun day to see students and staff transform themselves and several classrooms doing STEM projects to reflect the concept of “100”

And let’s not forget Valentine’s Day which was another fun-filled time.

I have been very busy giving over a dozen tours the past two weeks and I have many scheduled throughout the rest of the month and into March. Our advertising and your support of our school makes a difference. And while the Lower School is always popular with new families, I am so encouraged by applicants at all levels, including the Upper School.

UPCOMING EVENTS AND DATES:

  • Monday we are closed for President’s Day
  • Wednesday, February 22, is Ash Wednesday- the First Day of Lent. We will be having a service and Sr Regina will be with us to help distribute Ashes.

If you have not returned your “Intent to Return” form it is late. We will be going to a waitlist in several classrooms.

Enjoy your long weekend. See you Tuesday!

Best,
