Dear Families:
I hope we all are staying safe and warm during this extreme weather. As you know, we canceled school Friday and after-school Ski Club was postponed since McIntyre closed for the day. Our remaining days will end on March 10th (March 3 is school vacation week).
As we approach the end of the second trimester on February 24, marks will close on February 17. I hope you will visit our website that has our calendar and descriptions of all events.
Our Catholic Schools week combined service, spirit, families and fun to exemplify our pride in our faith. The tremendous outpouring of donations to the coat drive for Families in Transition and the PJs for WayPoint (formerly Child and Family Services) was a tribute to that concept. The chocolate chip cookies for Kid’s Cafe were a huge hit and so needed by the Salvation Army.
Our classrooms are thriving and busy places. Over the past few weeks, I have taken several families on tours and our enrollment is doing well. Let’s keep up the good work. It really does take a community effort to reenroll a school. We compete with other good schools and parents are very selective and discerning as they should be. Technology, staff credentials, and the facility are just a few areas that are mentioned by parents on a regular basis. You will hear about a few initiatives the Room Parents discussed with me last week at our meeting. We are planning on a few new activities and ways to communicate- so stay tuned.
