Dear Families:
It has been another busy week here after our winter break. We had four new families tour with us and many upcoming over the next week or so. It’s wonderful to see so many families and potential new students eager to join our community. As a small, tuition-driven Catholic School, we rely upon a healthy enrollment to continue to provide a strong and competitive program within our faith-based environment. Listening to each family on the tours, I constantly hear about a strong curriculum, extra-curricular activities, parent involvement, teacher influence and a safe environment. All of these qualities support students on a daily basis and I continue to be so thankful for those who help me to keep these qualities at the forefront. It cannot be accomplished by one individual.
We just concluded a week long celebration of “Read Across America” and yesterday as the whole school gathered (including our littles) in the Gym, Davan and Edward shared their knowledge of author and illustrator Ted Geisel, as we learned about his 60+ books and I announced our Door Decorating contest winners. We had three categories of winners at lower and upper school as well as Honorable mention- creative and fun.
Ski Club had their final run yesterday and I thank all the parent volunteers who helped us and a huge thanks to teachers Mrs. True and Mrs. Bardwell who coordinated this program. Not easy!
Chess Club concluded this week with over a dozen students receiving their trophies. Lego Club is up and running with Mrs. Reed.
This summer we will be running a Robotics program coordinated by several teachers who will be trained this spring. Watch for a drone flying over the Mount!
I met with the Room Parents on Thursday. So many spring plans:
- Father/Daughter Dance on May 12
- Spring Walk-A-Thon May 3 with a link and a flyer coming out soon.
- Teacher Appreciation Week May 8-12
- Parent/Student basketball game to celebrate a wonderful season on March 31- details coming soon.
